Dear Lost and Confused:
Based on your question, I think it’s time that you sit down and really evaluate your life, your goals, your wants, and your needs. Are you happy in your relationship? I’m talking about true happiness, not just superficial smiles and fake laughter, but true harmony? If not, you need to have a heart-to-heart with your partner and find out what is missing. What do you need that you aren’t getting? What does your partner need that you are not giving them? And what parts of your life and routine could be changed to make your life less confusing and move you both toward the life you want to live?
Stress is everywhere. Everyone has stress, and that’s not likely to ever change. Whether it’s stress over money, family, work, or in your relationship, stress is just a part of life. What you are likely feeling is an excess of stress. Are you trying to do too much? Are you giving too much of yourself to your partner, your kids, your friends, or your job? Find out where you can say “No,” and say it!
To people who are overstressed, I always recommend more exercise and meditation. Spend more time on centering and taking care of yourself, and you will find that clarity comes to you so much more easily.
